In this workshop, you will discover the fundamental elements that make abstract art so exciting. Abstracting what you see can be very challenging and often frustrating. It looks so easy but when you do it, it is not. Does this sound like you?
During the workshop you will explore:
1. Colour and how exciting a limited colour palette can be.
2. Why composition is so important in creating dynamic abstracts.
3. Markmaking and the expressive qualities of line.
4. Different materials and how to incorporate them in your work.
In just one day you will feel refreshed, inspired, and excited about artmaking. You will lose fear and embrace working intuitively. You will go home with new skills and ideas that will help you to create new work that you love!
The cost of $150 includes most materials. You will however be given a list of things, including some materials to bring.
